FOR BEST RESULTS, USE BOILED WATER. (Cooled down) FOR EVEN BESTER RESULTS, USE DISTILLED WATER.
Tap water contains more minerals and gases than distilled / purified water. Those minerals cause ice to form in a less predictable way, and also produce cloudier, more brittle ice which is a bit more difficult to work with.
SCIENCE! 🧪
Insert straw tip into straw.
Insert straw through ice pipe mold.
Remove tip.
Fill mold to top with distilled / pre-boiled water.
Put in freezer for at least 6 hours on a level surface.
Grab a sandwich. (Not included)
Remove mold from freezer, and let it sit out at room temperature for 3 minutes.
Run cold water through straw for 5 seconds.
Slowly increase the water to a warm temperature until straw spins freely. Do not force it.
Gently push/pull out straw while spinning it.
Remove ice pipe from mold with some gentle jiggling.
Put in Ice Pipe holder.
Insert product of choice.
Add some fire.
Enjoy the smoothest puffs.
Dispose...anywhere. (It's just water)
Make another sandwich.
Repeat steps 1 - 13 forever and ever.
Ice is LITERALLY a force of nature, and there's not much we can do about that. If these steps aren't followed, the Ice Pipe can easily break upon freezer removal.
To get successful Ice Pipes, these steps should be carefully followed.
Food coloring, juices or gelatin can also be used... but more care must be taken. Each liquid will has it's own frozen properties that will make it different to work with. Science will dictate it's behavior. Have fun experimenting!
